The Indiana Pacers have waived heart Daniel Theis.
In keeping with the Indianapolis Star: “Theis has performed only one sport this season and performed eight minutes. He missed Tuesday’s sport towards the 76ers in Philadelphia for “private causes,” though he was with the crew in Philadelphia on Sunday. Pacers coach Rick Carlisle did not clarify the explanation for Theis’ absence past saying it was private. Theis, 31, was due $9.1 million on his contract this season, with a membership possibility for subsequent season that might pay him $9.5 million if retained.”
